12 Days of Christmas {Day 1}: Wrapping Gifts in Style

Eddie Ross the Prettiest Bow

I’ve yet to draft my wish list to Santa, though I do know that this year I’d love to give gifts in a signature way.

Below: A menagerie of beautiful wrapping ideas to give your gifts in style.  Because it is the thought that counts, but it’s even better when the recipient can take one look at the wrapping and know it came from you.

Style No. 1: Naturalistic

Love nature’s gift that is winter? Show it by attaching springs of holly, cinnamon sticks and dried citrus, or pinecones to your gift.  These Holiday Pine wrapping sheets from Rifle Paper Co. are gorgeous:

Style No. 2: Modern & Merry Making

Elect to wrap all your presents in the same unique color way-

like Navy, Ice Blue, & Chartruese (a twist on the seen everywhere Pine green)

blue plus green

Or Fuschia, Chocolate Brown, & Orange (a cure for the common “Christmas-y” Red)

raspberry plus orange

Consider metallics like silver or gold, paired with white

Style No. 3: Nostalgic

Remember leaving a plate of cookies for Santa?  These cheeky Naughty or Nice cards would be so fun tied on to gifts. You could also consider vintage buttons as accouterments…

These birds, created from a vintage dictionary would make a pretty garland- and you could even use them on a hostess gift for a New Years Party.

Style No. 4: Classic & Cheerful

Nothing says a classic holiday package like brown paper and this lovely Baker’s twine in peppermint, availalble online.  Attach a few candy canes and you might as well be an elf.

On holiday cards this great, you could even go sans envelope- attaching the greeting directly to the gift. Hi Christmas Cards by Haley & Lucas

Style No. 5: Hassle Free Holiday Cheer

Have no time?  Wrapping gifts in newspaper, the Sunday comics, or magazine pages is a classic, relaxed, and socially responsible way to wrap your gifts.

Also? You can always let someone else wrap it for you:
